Are You A Christian?
Is Jesus Christ the Lord in your life? Are you depending on Him alone for your eternal salvation? Are you sure? There's nothing more important than where you spend your eternity. Take this test goodpersontest.com THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST The Bible says everyone will die and then be judged according to his deeds. "and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds" (Revelation 20:12). "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27) "For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God" (Romans 14:10). Jesus taught you will give an account for every careless word you speak (Matthew 12:36). Your heart rebels from God and gravitates toward sin. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." "There is none righteous, not even one...There is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God..." (Romans 3:10-11). You are naturally hostile toward God and His statutes (Colossians 1:21).
God is Holy and perfect, and the standard of which He will judge you will be to the standard of holiness and perfection. "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48). Jesus taught if you die in your sin, you will perish on the day of judgment (John 8:24) Unfortunately, you will never be perfect before your Father in Heaven under your own will and actions. Therefore the wrath of God abides upon you (John 3:36).
So what have you done to deserve this punishment? Click on the link above (goodpersontest.com) and look into the mirror of the Ten Commandments, God's moral law. God, in His Glory, kindness and love, made a way that we could be saved from His wrath. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him" (John 3:36).
God sent His Son, 2000 years ago, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life, and to be delivered as a perfect and righteous sacrifice. God substituted His wrath, that you deserved, onto his Son. God humbled Himself, became a man, and took our punishment on the cross (Phillipians 2:6-8) "All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him." (Isaiah 53:6). Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
You can partake of His righteous sacrifice by repenting and forsaking your sin (confess your sin, turn from your sin, forsake every sin) trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. His righteousness and perfection will be credited to you through faith. Justice against you will be deem satisfied by Christ, who bore your sin. We did not earn the right to salvation, we earned wrath as the penalty for our sin. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23).
Salvation is a gift that we did not earn through any works or deeds. Ephesians 2:8 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast." Trust in Christ alone, not yourselves for this is called self-rightousness and leads to destruction. Salvation does not come from your decision; it comes from the righteousness of Christ merited by Christ and credited to you through faith in Christ alone. Your sin and earned punishment was credited to Christ on the cross; his merited purity and righteousness is credited to you through faith. So trust in Christ alone, not your works, decision, prayer, etc. You can't save yourself. If you are responding right now in belief that Jesus suffered and died for your sins and wish to receive new life through Him, pray a prayer similar to this: "God, I acknowledge I am a sinner and earned my punishment in full. I believe Jesus Christ suffered and died to take the punishment that I deserved as a substitute to satisfy Your justice. I repent of my sin and plead for Your offer of eternal life through the righteousness of Your Son. Thank You for opening my eyes to see my sin and Your Holiness. I wish to turn from my wicked ways and follow You. " If you prayed this prayer, share your decision with a Christian friend or pastor. If you are not already attending church, find one in which you can worship and grow in your faith. (Perhaps that church might be Pierpont Baptist.) Following Christ's example, ask to be baptized as a public expression of your faith. Read your Bible daily and obey what you read ! How fortunate and blessed you are to hear this message and receive it ! Do you know others who are not saved? Your family?, co-worker?, friend?, neighbor? A perfect stranger? Without Salvation through Jesus Christ, they will spend an eternity in torment in a lake of fire. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). Go and tell others the good news as the Bible commands. Don't delay. You have so much at stake. There's nothing more important than where you will spend eternity ! |
